Do you love Owls?! Get the chance to meet and fly one of our Barn Owls in the meet and greet experience. Starting with a guided tour of our owls, you will then be able to meet and greet one of our Barn Owls. You will have to chance to handle and fly a Barn owl and learn about their environment, habitat and conservation projects helping to protect them in the wild. There will be several photograph opportunities for you to capture your memories to take home with you of your time at the Farm Park.

A great introduction to the world of falconry! whether an enthusiast or someone who has never experienced birds of prey, our hour experience will give you the chance to handle and fly  our birds of prey. Upon your arrival to the centre, your experience will begin with an introduction to one of our falconers who’ll provide you with a safety talk. You will then meet and greet some of the birds and learn about their equipment, habitat and diet. You will then have the opportunity to fly one of these magnificent birds to the fist!

Barleylands Farm Park - Goat Yoga!

 To book your tickets for our Goat Yoga, please select the date and time you would like to visit. 

Come and meet our cheeky, playful, inquisitive goats on selected dates throughout May, June & July.

What to bring...

A yoga mat – participants must bring their own yoga mats and you will be given a spray bottle to wipe these down after the session.

Suitable outdoor fitness clothing - we will be going into the pen with animals, and you will be cuddling goats. Goats love to climb and like to explore things with their mouths, so we advise old clothing you don't mind getting smelly or dirty. We then advice washing these as soon as you get home!

A jacket or a fleece - We hope for sunshine and warm weather on the day but bring a jacket or fleece just in case!

A water bottle – all that goat yoga can make you work up a sweat so please ensure you drink plenty of water. We have taps available where you can refill your bottles too.

A towel – Yoga can make you a sweaty so you may want to bring a towel with you on the day. We advise leaving this outside the pen, so the cheeky goats don’t chew it.
Suitable outdoor fitness footwear - you are coming to a farm so you will be required to walk through a disinfectant mat after the session.
camera - a must have for those goat selfies! Speak to our friendly team and they will make sure to capture a group photo.

We're sorry but no pregnant women can participate in this event and is strictly no under 18s allowed.

All Participants to adhere to all health and safety Rules as well as Good hygiene practice: Ensuring clothing, yoga mat is washed, and foot dip and hand washing facilities used.

Tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable.

In the event of rain the event will be cancellelled. Participants will be offered a change of date or a refund.
If visitors behave inappropriately or are a danger to themselves or others staff can and will end the experience early and visitors will not be refunded.

Get the chance to meet and fly one of our Harris’ Hawks in the meet and greet experience. Starting with a guided tour of our Hawks, you will then be able to meet and greet one of our Harris’ Hawks. You will have to chance to handle and fly a Harris’ Hawk and learn about their environment, habitat and conservation projects helping to protect them in the wild. There will be several photograph opportunities for you to capture your memories to take home with you of your time at the Farm Park.

A Brilliant gift for young animal lovers! Our junior keeper experience gets you behind the scenes of our Barleylands Zoo, including our nocturnal animal house, reptile house and bird of prey centre! Spend 2 hours with a zoo keeper and get to see all the aspects of taking care of our magnificent animals! When you first arrive at the centre you will be met by our experienced animal keeper who will complete a brief talk as to what the day will include. You will then have the chance to feed a few different species of animals, take care of their general husbandry, make some enrichment for the animals to play with, handle some of our exotic animals as well as fly a bird of prey!

Duration: 2 hours.

Age: 7+

Are you crazy about reptiles! Starting with a guided tour of our reptile house, you will then be able to meet and greet 2 different species of lizards. You will have to chance to learn about their environment, habitat and conservation projects helping to protect them in the wild. There will be several photograph opportunities for you to capture your memories to take home with you of your time at Barleylands.

A great chance to get up close and personal with a meerkat mob! Get the chance to have a one on one experience with our cheeky meerkats in their enclosure! Upon your arrival to the Farm Park, your experience will begin with an introduction to one of our handlers who’ll provide you with a safety talk. You will then be invited inside the meerkat enclosure to say hello and learn about their behaviours, habitat and diet. You may even get to experience one of the cheeky meerkats jumping on you!

Ages: 6+

Duration: 30 minutes

Are you crazy about owls?! For all you owl lovers, this is truly the experience day for you! Starting with a guided tour of all our owls, you will then be able to meet and greet some of the cutest birds of the bird of prey world. From some of the smallest to the very largest, you will have to chance to handle and fly 3 owl species and learn about their environment, habitat and conservation projects helping to protect them in the wild. There will be several photograph opportunities for you to capture your memories to take home with you of your time at the centre.

Duration: 1 Hour

Come and meet our ponies or donkeys and get up close and friendly to the farm yard favourites. Groom them, walk them and get familiar with how to care for them. Please note we do not host pony or donkey rides.

Are you brave enough to meet and handle a 15ft long python?! In this experience you will come face to face and even hold our 15ft long Reticulated python ‘Kaa’, named after the character from the Jungle Book!

Duration: 40 minutes

Age: 12 years+

The experience for all cat lovers! Do you want to get up close and personal with a species of wild African cat? Then this is the experience for you! Come and meet our Servals. You will have the opportunity to feed them in a one to one experience with our exotic animal handlers while they discuss with you their behaviour, habitat and diet. Upon arrival a member of our exotic animal team will meet you and escort you to the Serval enclosure, where you will receive an important health and safety briefing. Once positioned safely you will provide the cats with their lunch through the bars of their enclosure.

Duration: 20 minutes

Come and meet the sheep and goats at the farm. See the babies for baby cuddles (Springtime only) and get up close and personal to the friendly farmyard favourites. Learn about the different breeds or maybe you would like to take one for a walk?

Think we’re stinking cute? Get the chance to have a one on one experience with our adorable skunks ‘Chip’ and ‘Primrose’ in their enclosure! Upon your arrival to the Farm Park, your experience will begin with an introduction to one of our handlers who’ll provide you with a safety talk. You will then be invited inside the skunk enclosure to say hello and learn about their behaviours, habitat and diet. You will also be able to hand feed the Skunks and potentially handle them as well!

Ages: 8 Years +

Duration: 30-40 minutes

Come and meet the smaller farm animals here at the farm. Meet with rabbits, guinea pigs, chickens, ducks, chicks and ducklings (seasonal)

Get the chance to meet one of the cutest small exotic mammals here at Barleylands Farm Park! Starting with a guided tour of our Nocturnal Animal House, you will then be able to feed, stroke and hold our colony of 4 Sugar gliders! You will have to chance to learn about their environment, habitat and conservation projects helping to protect them in the wild. There will be several photograph opportunities for you to capture your memories to take home with you of your time at Barleylands.
